Busy Season Blues

We have come upon that time of year that us tax accountants call "the calm before the storm." Unfortunately this storm has hit Scott's office already, so he has been missing on Saturdays. We will be looking forward to having weekends together come April 15th.

With all this free/alone time, I've been able to keep fairly busy. From running errands, making meals to freeze and working on my list of crafty art projects. Thank goodness pinterest has allowed me to keep track of little projects I'd like to do, because now I have quite the back log!

This weekend I'm making cookies and most likely taking another stab at homemade pasta with this girl.

Seriously, since Pinterest and I have found each other, I have really "stepped up" my game and have tried a lot of new things. Here are a few of my favorite finds:

Seattle's January Freeze

So I'm sure you all heard about our little snow storm up here in the Pacific Northwest. Especially you I-can't-even-drive-in-the-rain-but-feel-the-need-to-call-people-snow-wimps residents of Los Angeles.(ridiculous!)

For your viewing pleasure here are a few pictures of our 3 days without power in the bitter cold.

I think this is genius! and quite frankly I'm really excited it's catching on. I think quality time spent with people is slowly becoming a thing of the past.
